Activities and Projects
Established a subsidiary of Indian Metal Manufacturing company– Viraj Profiles Ltd., Mumbai India (VPL).
VPL manufactures stainless steel and has sales turnover of USD 1 bn across the globe in 37 countries.
VE Staal started with turnover of EUR 5 mio in 2012 increased to EUR 250 mio in 2020.
Direct procurement of stainless steel scrap from various vendors in Europe for onward supplies to VPL India. - Total procurement of approx. EUR 200 mio p.a.
Designed and implemented a strategy wherein treasury, accounting and other core activities performed in house in Netherlands whereas logistics, invoicing and other non-core activities are sourced to vendors. This structure helped to scale the business without corresponding increase in the cost / manpower.
Indirect procurement - Logistics services procurement & invoicing services (BPO) contract.
Preparing business plans / budget based on a project basis or for the defined period.
Division of cost as controllable and non-controllable.
Designing and publishing KPI dashboard, frequent updates on achievements and actions pending.
Started accounting for the company. Day to day accounting of sales, purchases, bank movements, fixed assets and final GL postings.

Designed and implemented a project centralising operations of 11 corporate branches at different cities in India.
Identified and implemented workflow software to connect branches to a central location in Mumbai
Project resulted in converting branches to delivery channels rather than processing hubs and helped to control operations and fraud risk centrally.
New structure helped to handle 200% growth in business within the same cost.
